 Show & Tell

2014 Striped Tessera Corn Snake.  No, that’s not a marking on the top front of the head.  I maintain hatchlings in clear 16 oz. deli cups for the first few months of their lives, and the last batch of them I purchased seem to have unusually more sharp burrs around the cross-ventilation holes that are PUNCHED into the sides of the cups.

2014 Palmetto Corn Snake with red color splashes.  Why do colors aggregate in clusters like this?  Good question?? This is the first Palmetto I recall with any rhythm of color clusters (four or five quasi-banded aggregations).    S . . .

Show & Tell

Two siblings of a brood of 2014 corns from parents, South African Line Bloodred X SMR Het Cayenne Fire.  Note the inordinate amount of red on the non-Amel and the dorsal wash of red on the Amel (not an Amel Bloodred) foretelling that these two snakes will be deeply red adults in their respective associative mutations.   . . .

If not now, there will soon be too many colors of Tesseras to collect them all, but if you’ve been thinking of specializing in a color group, consider Amel Tesseras.  I’m guessing you don’t have this one; an Amel Buf Tessera.  The inherent value of this gem is that of the three mutations it exhibits (Amel, Buf, and Tessera) two are dominant to wild-type; Buf and Tessera.  The $500.00 USD price of this 2014 hatchling female includes   . . .

Show & Tell

Two 2014 corn snake hatchlings that are Het for Scaleless.  We will never shy away from reminding that the Scaleless Corns are not pure corn snakes (even though we’d all be shocked to discover that many of the corns in the hobby toDAY owe some degree of their looks to alien species).  Pictured is a Het Scaleless corn from the pairing of a Scaleless Extreme Okeetee from SMR stock in France to a SMR Extreme Okeetee AND the other from the pairing of the same Scaleless SMR Extreme Okeetee with a SMR High-white Reverse Okeetee.  Q: Is the “Miami-looking” one the colorful result of its “Emory’s” ancestry? A: Partially, yes.  Read below . . .

This 26″ 2013 male Anery Corn Snake is currently eating one frozen/thawed fuzzy mouse per week. His parents were both het for Kastanie and Snow so he is possibly het for all that. Since it is possible that none of those traits (other than Anery) are in this snake, his value is $95.00 USD, which includes . . .

This 27″ 2013 Saffron (Sunkissed Butter) Motley female is currently eating one frozen/thawed fuzzy mouse per week.  She recently rubbed the top of her head on a burr I had not noticed around an air hole in her cage, but such superficial sores heal quickly.  In two more sheds, the sore that is visible in this picture will be scarred over, and fortunately, scars on Butter corn snakes are white.  Her $250.00 USD price includes  Bonus Pic . . . $OLD
