Snake of the Day 11-22-16

Show & Tell

Owned by Catherine Turley, this adult Specter shows a blush of pink between markings. Specter morphs are only known to possess two gene mutations (Anerythristic & Hypo A) but have a few notable visual features that are more common in Specters than other Anery-types. The separation between the first dorsal saddle and the head pattern is widely regarded as a key “marker” for Specter morphs, but is not unique to them. There have been a few other selectively-bred morphs in the hobby that had the same neucal break between head and the first dorsal saddle.
