Snake of the Day 06-25-17

Show & Tell

2015 female Blue Motley (aka: Dilute Anery Motley).  She has a light blush of pink which is usually only seen on males of this mutant compound.  The affect the Dilute gene mutation has on Anery corn snakes has the same impact as a gene mutation in some dogs and cats than render otherwise dark coats as one of many shades of gray.  Cats called Blue Persians or Blue Siamese and dogs called Blue Shelties (Shetland Sheep Dogs) or Blue Collies are actually more gray than blue.  So, NO, most Blue Motley corns are just some shade of gray, but distinctly more gray (or blueish) than Ghost or Anery corns.  Bonus pic
