Comments: From the SCRATCH AND DENT DEPT. this 2011 female Hurricane Anery Motley is priced low due to her underbite and “cleft-like” upper labial scale zone (see image inset). She eats fine and handles well. I don’t anticipate that her birth defect will have any negative impact on breeding, nor do I suspect it will be passed onto her progeny. That would be extremelly rare in corn snakes, and even rarer in this morph.
Hurricane pattern Motleys are selectively bred for the black ringed-series pattern down the back. The name Hurricane was given for the rare pattern variation whose circles around ground pattern zones are exaggerated by thick concentric rings similar to the meteorilogical map symbol for Hurricane storms. Some have called them donut motleys because instead of a borderless or only slightly bordered circles, the circle borders on Hurricane Motleys look like donuts, relative to typical Motley mutants’ barely bordered circles.
