Update on the pair of Striped Sunkissed corns we produced this past summer. They are staying on color and pattern course so far. I’ll post an update again in a few months.

I set out to produce Blizzard Tesseras by breeding a Tessera to a Blizzard with lots of yellow, so as to ensure that the Tessera pattern could be seen.

Adult 2010 female Striped Hypo corn.

Sold to me as a hatchling Hypo Pied-sided bloodred two years ago, this coming season I’ll find out if this is actually a dark Hypo or not a Hypo mutant at all. Not that is matters, right?

As with most corn snakes these DAYs, it’s what’s inside that counts. The parents of this Ghost are a Hypo Lavender and a Salmon Snow.

Comparison of an Anery Tessera (bottom) and a Charcoal Tessera (top). Except for their eyes, they looked virtually identical until a few months ago when the Anery started exhibiting carotenoid yellow that is retained from diet.

Fresh out of brumation, a beautiful adult Pied-sided Bloodred female. I love her “old-school Bloodred” colors.
