Snake of the Day 09-15-14

Show & Tell

Adult female High-white Reverse Okeetee corn snake we were fortunate to get from John Finsterwald (Zorro) of ColoradoCorns.com.  John was kind enough to gift this beauty to my wife, Tammie, a fews back and she LOVES her (those of you who know Tammie realize how significant that is).  Seriously, John, she is not only the best we’ve had, but the prettiest I’ve seen.  Thank you SOOO much.   . . .

 SHOW & TELL

2013 Anery Palmetto Corn Snake.  I didn’t expect that I’d like a monochromatic Palmetto with only shades of black, (if we can call BLACK a color ?), but I was SO wrong.  I love the way most of the dark flecks are accented with darker black margins.  And what’s up with the head plates showing a tinge of red at their edges?

There is about to be a very proud European snake keeper at Terraristika in Hamm this month when this snake (one of only two Anery Palmetto corns in the world AND the ONLY one in Europe) goes home from the expo with her.  I’m sure the European corn snake forums and reptile expos will be seeing a lot of this pretty gal as she transforms into adulthood.  Even I have never seen a fully-grown Anery Palmetto, so I’m eager to see pictures of her in a year or so.   Bonus Pic . . .

 SHOW & TELL

2013 Cayenne Fire produced by John Finsterwald  (ZORRO ) of ColoradoCorns.com.   He is het for Charcoal, therefore, making Cayenne (Red Mask) Whiteout (Blizzard Bloodreds) is possible in the next generation.  Way to go, John.  Stunning snake, buddy.  I’m excited to see what a Coral Whiteout looks like in the next generation?

SHOW & TELL

Many have asked me to show the Fire corn (Amel Bloodred ) that I got from a South African corn snake breeder, so here he is.  He is almost as red as most of our SMR Cayenne Fires, but when bred to one of our SMR Red Mask Cayenne Fires, the reds in the babies really POP ! !     . . .
