Snake of the Day 03-19-19

Show & Tell

No, we don’t breed Palmetto corn snakes any more, but I found this picture of one of my favorites.  I love all of the tiny red dots all over the body.  Since there are still images of Palmettos on my web site, when some inquires, we send them to TRAVIS WHISLER REPTILES on FaceBook.  He is the largest producer of Palmettos in the world toDAY.

Snake of the Day 04-04-19

Show & Tell

These two sibling Scaleless corn snake mutants hatched on March 29th.  They will be listed for sale in a few weeks, after 3-5 consecutive feedings of unaltered frozen/thawed DAY-old pinky mice.

note: ALL Scaleless corns in the hobby toDAY (including SCALED corns that are carriers of the Scale-less mutation–aka Het Scaleless), AND even possible-hets are descendants of the original pairing of a Corn Snake to an Emory’s Ratsnake (aka: Great Plains Ratsnake). Therefore, all Scaleless corns (and their scaled siblings) are inter-species hybrids.   s . . .

Snake of the Day 03-06-19

Show & Tell

Sibling 2019 hatchling aberrant Scaleless Amels that hatched in late February.  They are possibly het Caramel, and will be offered for sale as soon as they have fed three consecutive times on unaltered frozen/thawed pinky mice.  They both instantly gobbled their first meals, as most Scaleless corns do, so it won’t be long before these two–and many others–are listed for sale.

note ALL Scaleless corns in the hobby toDAY (including SCALED corns that are carriers of the Scale-less mutation–aka Het Scaleless), AND even possible-hets are descendants of the original pairing of a Corn Snake to an Emory’s Ratsnake (aka: Great Plains Ratsnake).  Therefore, all Scaleless corns (and their scaled relatives) are inter-species hybrids.

Show & Tell

2019 Scaleless Sunglow Motley that hatched in late February.  Soon to be listed for sale.

note ALL Scaleless corns in the hobby toDAY (including SCALED corns that are carriers of the Scale-less mutation–aka Het Scaleless), AND even possible-hets are descendants of the original pairing of a Corn Snake to an Emory’s Ratsnake (aka: Great Plains Ratsnake).  Therefore, all Scaleless corns (and their scaled relatives) are inter-species hybrids.

Snake of the Day 03-08-19

Show & Tell

2019 hatchling Scaleless Butters and Amels that hatched in late February.  Aside from healthy Scaleless Amel-types typically showing their ribs, you can see the location of the heart in the lower-front snake (purple mass that is only barely visible in scaled Amel-types).

note ALL Scaleless corns in the hobby toDAY (including SCALED corns that are carriers of the Scale-less mutation–aka Het Scaleless), AND even possible-hets are descendants of the original pairing of a Corn Snake to an Emory’s Ratsnake (aka: Great Plains Ratsnake).  Therefore, all Scaleless corns (and their scaled relatives) are inter-species hybrids.

Snake of the Day 03-09-19

Show & Tell

Male and female 2019 sibling Scaleless corn snakes that hatched in late February. It appears that the non-Amel in this picture could be a Red Factor mutant (parents both het for Scaleless Sunglow Motley).  Such elongated pattern aberrancy is not rare in Scaleless corns.

note ALL Scaleless corns in the hobby toDAY (including SCALED corns that are carriers of the Scale-less mutation–aka Het Scaleless), AND even possible-hets are descendants of the original pairing of a Corn Snake to an Emory’s Ratsnake (aka: Great Plains Ratsnake).  Therefore, all Scaleless corns (and their scaled relatives) are inter-species hybrids.
