#022513
Comon corn Het Kastanie, Bloodred, Sunkissed
Male
d.o.h. 2010
47″ long on March 25, 2013
Eating frozen/thawed adult mice
$150.00 shipped

This male is the result of pairing a Sunkissed mutant with a Kastanie Bloodred (aka: Rosy Bloodred).  He’ll eatcha outta mouse and home.  He loves frozen/thawed adult mice. He has been out of brumation now for nearly one week.  He brumated from October 10, 2013 to January 31, 2013.

I’m selling him for less than one of his FOUR brothers here because he was a little grouch toDAY when I photographed him.  He never tried to bite, but he was very determined to get away from me.  His four brothers are perfect gentlemen, so this one HAS to go.

#032613
Buckskin Okeetee
Female
d.o.h. 2011
34″ long on March 25, 2013
$175.00 shipped

Comments: Inferior quality for our Buckskin Okeetee standard.  Her black blotch margins are too small to be considered a good example of this morph, but she will make fine pet and breeder.  She is less than two years old and was brumated from December 15th, 2012 to March 16, 2013.

The Buckskin Okeetees are the result of selective breeding toward the obvious tan ground colors that accentuate the red markings.  They should have prominent thick, black blotch margins.

SORRY ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH SMR WEB SITE LATELY
I often take several pictures, create Snake of the Day features, and set the web site to publish them on their appropriate DAY at 11 am.  After three DAYs of the features not publishing on time, a friend of mine just pointed out to me that the LAST UPDATED date at the bottom of the page was one DAY later than the actual DAY.  Hence, the date and time on my web site is wrong and that caused the features not to publish at the appointed times.  I’m sorry I didn’t catch this sooner, but I appreciate the emails informing me of the problem.  My webmaster is working to fix the problem now.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

#032813
Hurricane Anery Motley
Female
d.o.h. 2011
34″ long on March 25, 2013
$250.00 shipped

Comments: From the SCRATCH AND DENT DEPT. this 2011 female Hurricane Anery Motley is priced low due to her underbite and “cleft-like” upper labial scale zone (see image inset).  She eats fine and handles well.  I don’t anticipate that her birth defect will have any negative impact on breeding, nor do I suspect it will be passed onto her progeny.  That would be extremelly rare in corn snakes, and even rarer in this morph.

Hurricane pattern Motleys are selectively bred for the black ringed-series pattern down the back.  The name Hurricane was given for the rare pattern variation whose circles around ground pattern zones are exaggerated by thick concentric rings similar to the meteorilogical map symbol for Hurricane storms.  Some have called them donut motleys because instead of a borderless or only slightly bordered circles, the circle borders on Hurricane Motleys look like donuts, relative to typical Motley mutants’ barely bordered circles.

Comments: This particular Buckskin Okeetee has great banded pattern, but is inferior quality for our Buckskin Okeetee color standard.  Her black blotch margins are too small to be considered a good example of this morph, but she will make a fine pet and breeder.  She is less than two years old and was brumated from December 15th, 2012 to March 16, 2013.

Ultramel Tessera
Female
d.o.h. 2010

Possibly Het Anery
$500.00 shipped

This female Ultramel Tessera is now 36″ long, eating frozen/thawed small to medium adult mice. She offers great genetic potential when bred to any non-Lavender, red-eyed corn snake.  Since the Ultra gene mutation is codominant with Amelanism, by breeding this female to any Amel corn, approximately 1/2 of the progeny will be Amel and the remainder of them will be Ultramels (along with a percentage of any recessive mutations that both snakes possess).

Comments:  Superior color and size maturity.

Comments: Superior color and size maturity.

The Buckskin Okeetees are the result of selective breeding toward the obvious tan ground colors that accentuate the red markings.  This female emerged from brumation on March 10th, 2013 after 10.5 weeks of cold dormancy.  She is not het for Caramel or any other color or pattern mutations that we are aware.  The Buckskin coloration is the result of selective breeding.
