Snake of the Day 01-08-16

This 2015 female Cayenne Fire corn snake will be extremely red and barely patterned as an adult.
As you can see, she is barely pied-sided, so I will rate her as a P/S Cayenne Fire with very low expression of lateral white.  She is currently 16″ long, eating small pinky mice.

Snake of the Day 01-09-16

This 2015 female Extreme Okeetee corn snake has enough connected markings to call her Zig Zag, but not enough to say her polygenetic pattern aberration will be in the genome of her progeny (unless you breed her to a corn with similar pattern aberration).  She is currently 16″ long, eating small pinky mice.

Show & Tell

This beautiful Trans-pecos Ratsnake demonstrates two of the few mutations of its species in the hobby toDAY, Amelanism (Albinism) and BlondeThe non-classical pattern is the expression of the pattern mutation, Blonde.  There are two different alleles of Albino TP Rats so far.  This one is a descendant of the Soderberg line, demonstrated by the missing frontal scale on the top-center of the head.  The other Albino TP Ratsnake allele is not missing that frontal scale.     Bonus pic

This 2010 male Lavender Motley Corn Snake is currently 44″ long, eating frozen/thawed adult mice.  I sold him when he was a hatchling and got him back the following week because I had not noticed several minor spinal kinks, all of which I’m now unable to detect visually or by palpation.  He looks like most of the “Mystery Lavender Line” I’ve had, so that’s a strong possibility, having acquired him from Rich Hume?   His $235.00 USD price includes   2015 hatchlings start at $80.00 plus shipping.
